School Districts across Texas spend a significant part of the year preparing for the much talked about state mandated assessment tests known as TAKS. The Texas Assessment of Knowledge and Skills determines what a student in public school has learned during the year. What many taxpayers don’t know is the financial cost of the state mandated tests.
