Our mission is to foster the intellectual, social, emotional, and physical growth of each student through educational excellence in a positive environment. 

Our school opened in 1965 as El Lago Elementary. The name was changed in 1967 to Edward H. White II Elementary in honor of the life and accomplishments of Edward Higgins White II -- the first American to walk in space. He perished in a tragic fire while training for the first manned Apollo mission. We are proud of the legacy he has left this school and community. His life serves as a role model for the students and staff of our school.

Ed White Elementary serves students who live in the area east of Taylor Lake which includes the city of El Lago and parts of Seabrook.
