The mission of League City Elementary is to promote, through a commitment to excellence in education, the academic, social and physical growth of each student within a safe, secure environment.
League City Elementary is nestled amid beautiful, large oak trees and located in the historical district of the town sharing the same name. The school opened its doors in 1961 and has garnered a loyal following among both teachers and students. 46% of the teachers have more than 20 years of teaching experience and many have been at League City Elementary their entire career. Additionally, a large number of the students’ parents once attended League City Elementary themselves. When the school opened its doors, a sign welcoming visitors to the city said, “Home of Friendly Folks and Shady Oaks.” This slogan captured the atmosphere of the school as well. Some things just never change!
