Clear Lake Intermediate School was opened in 1973.  It is one of ten intermediate schools in the Clear Creek Independent School District It is situated in the heart of Clear Lake City, which grew with nearby Johnson Space Center.  Clear Lake Intermediate School provides a wide array of academic, extracurricular and social opportunities for students in the 6th, 7th and 8th grades.  The school has been recognized academically at the national level and is known throughout Texas for the success of its athletic and fine arts programs.  Our population consists of 1125 diverse and enthusiastic students.  We are located 25 miles south of downtown Houston at the corner of El Dorado Blvd. and El Camino Real.
